Briksdal Breføring is the largest activity company
in the
area and has specialised in outdoor activities such
as
glacier guiding, mountain walks, glacier safaris and
hikes
to the icecap and glacier plateau. In 2004 the
activity
park was completed and offers a variety of
activities: a
13metre high climbing tower with abseiling and a
rope
bridge, paintball, Viking bowling, archery,
axethrowing,
to name but a few. We organise daily trips up
glaciers and
mountains, among others to Bødal Glacier and
Lodalskåpa,
from the base at Sande Camping in the Lodalen
valley. Canoe trips are organised on the Lovatnet
lake.
A new activity in 2007 is an expedition on the lake
at
the foot of the Briksdal Glacier, where you can
paddle in
large rubber dinghies among drifting ‘icebergs’ in
to the
very edge of the huge glacier tongue. Briksdal
Breføring also arrange glacierguiding on the
Brenndal Glacier.
